Tech Tip

My knowledge and awareness of technological innovations and neat web gadgets are slim, but I stumbled upon this little plug-in (courtesy of Chris Blattman) and am in love.  Maybe you’ve all known about this for ages (gee, thanks for sharing), but if not – check this out:

Readability is a button on your web browser that when switched on, purges the website you are currently viewing of all extraneous information (menus, ads, etc.) so that you can view just the pertinent text of the article or blog post and any pictures associated with it.  I’ve tried it on The New York Times,, and a few blogs and it works wonderfully.  It even looks visually cool – kind of like the text on a Kindle or something.
